The CBIC issued advisory on 15th May, 2022 regarding the difficulties being faced by the taxpayers at the time of filing GSTR-3B for the month April 2022.
The department noticed that in some cases few details are not reflecting in GSTR-2B statement for the period April 2022, however such records are visible in GSTR-2A of the recipients.
The department said the technical team is working to resolve the issue for the impacted taxpayers and generate the fresh GSTR-2B at the earliest.
Further the affected taxpayers are advised to file their GSTR-3B for the April 2022 period based the summary generated in GSTR-2A.
Furthermore since the original due date for filing the GSTR-3B for monthly filers was 20th May in case of April 2022 period, the department has extended the deadline for filing GSTR-3B for the monthly filers till 24th May and for the payment of tax in case of QRMP taxpayers in GST PMT-06 has been extended till 27th May, 2022.
The above deadlines are being extended by the department through the notification no. 05/2022 and 06/2022 dated 17th May, 2022. Concerning the portal glitches the above deadline extension seems a great relief to the affected taxpayers assuming the technical issues will be resolved by the department way before the extended deadline.
