The ministry of Corporate affairs on 23rd April, 2020 extended the validity of names reserved for the new incorporation and change of name of already registered companies beyond 20 days counting from 3rd May,2020, when the lockdown was extended for the first amid COVID-19 pandemics in the Country.
As the the lockdown was further extended 2 times till 31st May, 2020.
The Lockdown 4.0 has necessitated the further extension of the validity of reserved name for Company Incorporation and Resubmission of Forms, hence Ministry of Corporate Affairs further extended the validity of reserved names for new incorporation by 20 days for those reserved names that were to expire between March 15 – May 31 and validity for names reserved for change of name by existing companies by 60 days from May 31for the names expiring between March 15 – May 31 by the notification dated 22nd May, 2020.
For LLPs, the Ministry has extended the validity of name reserved for new incorporation as well as change of name is 90 Days from May 31. Further the notification also extends the period for resubmission of SRNs, the last date of which falls between 15th March, 2020 to 31st May, 2020 by 15 days from 31st May, 2020
